      If you are a mother, desirous of basic respect, or want to be in a performance based environment - go somewhere else.

      Pros

      There were some true leaders in the group - even a few who were true mentors and would be considered leaders outside of this company. Those who cared, really did....they expected performance (which was great and very motivating) but they also were there to give constructive feedback and coaching.

      Cons

      no work/life balance or respect for it from some of the very senior most partners. truly offensive partners (who would yell, berate - though, thankfully, not at me) are/were protected. while i was personally advanced - many of the truly talented performers and hard workers were not because they weren't "friends" or "put in as much blood" as others. it created a promotion based solely on relationships culture and often time with those who were clearly not performers.

      Pros

      The people at Deloitte France are generally smart and well educated. It also enjoys an excellent reputation in the French marketplace which helps with networking and credibility.

      Cons

      It's a very segmented and political environment. There's no love lost between departments and cooperation and information sharing are actively discouraged. Partners play favorites a lot too which can be discouraging.

      Great place to start, not as great to continue

      Pros

      Excellent company to start a career. There is a very clear career progression path and promotions generally happen on a time basis. Many opportunities to step up to different challenges and gain a lot of skill and knowledge.

      Cons

      Compensation is on the lower side and work hours tend to be extremely brutal during busy seasons. Management is well aware of its ability to replace associates and is quite obvious about that fact.
