      Deloitte Taipei good only for short-term

      Pros

      1. Brand recognition, 2. Learning opportunities (at least short term), 3. Colleagues (if you're lucky), 4. Opportunities to see many different companies and industries.

      Cons

      1. Lack of job variety, jobs turn mundane after about 2 years. 2. Work/life balance is very bad at the Taipei office. I've been told it's even worst if you're an auditor. 3. Pay at the Taipei office is considerably lower than similar jobs in many other countries. This is because the CPA firms in Taiwan competes aggressively on price. 4. Most partners are very distant from subordinates.

      Great company to start at, no work/life balance

      Pros

      Technicaly skills learned on the job are great. You are in charge of staff after two years of college, that is great for the resume.

      Cons

      The hours are insane, and not just busy season hours. Never have I worked a 40 hour week. I knew I was getting into a 3 month busy season, but not a 12 month.

      access to large client accounts, strategy and analytics knowledge not found in smaller digital agencies, exposure to many other disciples

      Cons

      No clue when it comes to quality user experience work. No clue when it comes to building, mentoring, or sustaining a creative team. Internal systems are terrible; placing a massive admin overhead on each employee. very hierarchy driven, but in a bad way. High staff turnover. Difficult to recruit talent.
