Pros

Great hands-on experience in store operations, strong sports culture, clear team structure, supportive for trying new ideas. Very solid training system. Most frontline managers are female, creating an inclusive atmosphere for women.

Cons

Your work happiness heavily depends on the store manager's leadership style. Some senior male leaders still hold old-fashioned views. In one meeting, a city leader questioned why I was wearing a skirt.

Pros

Government-like job with low pay and politics

Cons

Despite taking on significant responsibilities, the compensation remains low. Managers are often heavily involved in company politics, and the organization’s strategy, structure, and KPIs tend to change frequently sometimes every quarter.
