Pros

resume building is good if you work there. Once you leave it it will look really good to others who don't realize that it is just as backwards as lots of other companies

Cons

the pay really sucks and they work you too hard. They always take take take tale and never really give give give give, especially at bonus time. You need to be in the old boys club to get ahead and if you are not you get stuck and never get any raises or good bonuses

Pros

Pay is very decent but I will not say it is outstanding. I don't feel bad but I wish I could feel better. Management training seems to be good. The company vision is agressive and expanding which I like.

Cons

Too many people live their life in Cisco. Sorry I don't want to work on Cisco software when I go home. John Chambers a little too preachy and new age. They seem to be playing the "be good enough" compensation wise. I prefer pension and 401k mix. I prefer less nickle and diming on health care. I prefer Salary with raises not frozen-salary and hope for ever greater bonuses.

Pros

freedom to work the hours at home or at the office, no one pays attention to where you are just as long as you are on one of the many conf calls then tend to substitue for work. In an average day most people spend more then half their time listening in on calls.

Cons

management is more concerned with process then actual results, fictious cost savings are considered accomplishments, hours spent on cals are considered productivity
