Rank and Yank causes employees to compete against each other instead of competing against Capital One's competitors. Creates a very toxic and uninviting environment.

The LT members on the Corporate Communications team at Capital One are among the worst group of individuals I've ever worked with. I don't know that 1 single thing is ever accomplished when they lead meetings. They just fill the time with all the corporate jargon they can muster in 30 minutes, display lots of enthusiasm, and then they're off to another meeting they BS their way through. It's incredible how they foster a culture where you can get ahead the better you speak about the values, and tenets of the team, over people who actually get work done.
