Pros

The pros of working for Burberry are having it on your resume. They are open to your ideas about the business in your store.

Cons

Commission is terrible at 1%. The company expects you to wear too many hats. They want you to sell, do visuals, track the market, lead corporate visits, do tedious reports analyzing departments and tracking business over the years without paying you more. They expect you to go out of your job description a lot and go above and beyond for no pay. They take advantage of people with a strong skillset that are able to do more than the basic job description. Turn over rate is high. They don't promote within often and have poor leadership and lazy cooperate. Growing in the company is not really an option because management is lazy and does bare minimum. They don't support staff or work on action plans to help grow staff. Also very unorganized system in terms of "policy". Uniforms are crap, the pants constantly rip. They do not give allowance for clothes.

Pros

Discount is 40-50% get to use ipads get to steal burberry customers and sell them items for cash using your discount but cheaper.

Cons

The merchandise is all made in Bangledash or India or China Management is awful. A lot of micromanagement and chain of command for pressure. Vp gets mad at DM, DM gets mad at all the managers, managers get mad at assistant manager and assistant manager takes it out on all the employees. Constantly watching through camera. Get written up for the silliest things.

Pros

There were some nice people there

Cons

Senior Management in the store are demoralizing and demotivating. The only way to get noticed it to use 'Burberry Chat' their in store messaging system. After two years I feel like it has turned me in to such a negative, empty person. There are many staff and Management that are substance mis-users. All of the top takers are 'top takers' so nothing is done about it Senior Managers are wayyy too close to some of the junior staff (if you know what I mean). The store has a ridiculously high staff turnover. There is absolutely no development of staff.
