Pros

When I joined BSP almost 7 years ago (gosh, time flies), I immediately fell in love with it. Working with great colleagues, facing difficult challenges, having a lot of responsibilities, and feeling like part of something big—it was all so fulfilling. Well, after all these years, I still feel the same, if not even more. BSP has proven time and again to be a great place to work.

Cons

I often get teased by LinkedIn recruiters: "Hey Carlo, after 7 years at BSP, maybe you want to try a new challenge?" But honestly, I just don’t believe there’s another place where I could grow as much, both professionally and personally, as I do here, even after all this time.

Pros

If you want to work hard, be responsible for the projects you work on, and be treated as an adult, it's the right place for you. Almost from the get-go, even for Junior positions, you will be expected to start gathering context on the things you work on and have positive impact on whatever you're working on, which is not that common in mid-to-big companies, I'd say. The company expects you to work hard, but compensates you justly for it. The pay, benefits, retreats, events in Milan that anyone can join, no BS time off all help balance out the strain of working very hard.

Cons

One can sense that the culture of "working hard" sometimes borders on "burnout speedrun". There are people in the company that barely take any time off, and while it's their decision to do so, other employees might feel like they are expected to function like that as well, and in some cases it might be true. There's a feel that if you don't work insanely hard you will face a warning or be advised to leave, which is generally not the best for your overall well-being. In my opinion, it's a great place to grind really hard for a couple of years, but probably as the company grows and expects more and more from its employees, only the most hardcode workaholics will be able to secure a spot in Bending Spoons for, say, five years or more.

Pros

Basically everything they say on their website is true. For me another big pro is pure talent density that you get to interact with every day.

Cons

Some say stress, but I haven't personally experienced it much. Maybe depends on the team and the position.
