A truly amazing workplace

Pros

Probably my favourite thing about working in Bending Spoons is how interesting the actual work that you are doing is. Even as a very junior engineer, you are given the opportunity to work on many exciting projects, which in my case has helped me grow a lot and understand deeply what it takes to successfully build apps - a thing that I've always been passionate about. Furthermore, there is a strong culture of idea meritocracy, so your opinions are always heard and actions to improve the status quo are actually taken in a swift manner when they are identified. Another thing that I really appreciate is the environment full of cool, skilled and open-minded people. In fact, the open-mindedness is something that always reflects in any operations of the company, such as how it defines its business strategies or how it chooses to benefit its employees.

Cons

When I first joined, being surrounded by so many skilled people started a sort of impostor syndrome in me, but I got over it as I received a lot of support from my teammates and as I grew inside the company.

Stimulating workplace

Pros

Bending Spoons is a very dynamic company, always ready to re-organise itself (especially due to many new acquisitions) and to put people where they can bring the most impact. Even if you are junior, if you are smart you can "climb the ladder" fast and colleagues are generally very supportive and smart. Projects and goals are usually stimulating and we try to always use the most advanced techniques. Retreats in exotic places and unlimited holidays are a great plus. There's a parental policy in place that is very supportive for parents or people that want to have a child.

Cons

You have to work hard and be ready to do the extra mile. You must be ready to receive harsh and honest feedback that is not always nice to hear.
