Pros

- Pretty good pay although base salary is a little lower and more of your TC is dependent on sign on/RSUs - Fast paced development culture with potential to learn a lot about industry - not as bad of a pip culture as people expect

Cons

- most things are team dependent: work culture, oncall difficulty, etc. - oncall can be pretty brutal depending on your team and some teams have very chill oncalls - no free/discounted meals and not much other benefits like free Amazon prime provided

Pros

If you get placed on a cool team, you get unique exposure to insanely large, resilient, and scalable systems. It's the kind of exposure to can't get anywhere else.

Cons

If you get placed on a bad time, you'll struggle with poor management, brutal oncall, and unreasonable expectations.
