Pros

Leadership principles are a slow burn and many of them change how you think, for better. Depending on the team you get in to, you'll have lots to learn and experiment.

Cons

Politics can often happen unnoticed and may be too late by the time you realize. Be hyper vigilant and advocate for yourself.

Pros

Overall a great place to grow technically — learned a lot about large-scale distributed systems, production operations, and ownership. Had the chance to work with many smart and supportive coworkers across teams.

Cons

* On-call rotations can be hectic depending on the team * Internal processes and cross-team politics can sometimes be draining * Like many large companies, your experience heavily depends on your manager — a bad manager can really impact day-to-day work and overall morale
