Toxic management style where individuals have to be ranked in either low performing, meets standards, or excels. It does not matter if all team members excel and complete projects on time and meets customer satisfaction, single or multiple individuals (pending how much downsize is required) are ranked as low performers, placed into a PIP, and have to deal with more responsibilities until proven worthy of being removed off of the PIP. The likelihood of success is relatively low and causes a massive amount of stress on the individual due to archaic mandatory management styles. Recommend applying for Google or Microsoft, where management styles have moved away from such practices in favor of more balanced management systems.
