      Discontinuity and Lack or Resources Torpedoed My Morale

      Pros

      I loved this job initially. It was a good environment and a good team. I had the backing of my managers to succeed.

      Cons

      Constant reorgs: I had 4 different managers in under 2 years Disruptive changes to mission come down from above with no input from the team and no warning, which didn't allow us to finish anything we started. After these changes gut the team, when people get tired of it and go somewhere else in the company, back-filling takes forever. As a front-line manager I am accountable to get work done regardless of how small the team gets, yet I have no direct control over hiring/recruiting. My project was a multiyear waterfall project with firm dates and not enough people, and we were just expected to do whatever it took to hit the deadlines set years earlier.

The company has clear vision to be earth's most customer centric company and due to that fact it become most valuable brand in the world now. You will feel proud when you see your hand written code is running in the production and millions of the customers are benefitted using that feature. Join here, work hard, have fun and make history.
