Pros

* Pay * Free Food * Decent German Counterparts

Cons

* Micro management for senior level employees as well * Work from home requests are looked at as a criminal activity (I know now there is a change) * No meaningful work in the stream I joined * Lack of support for employees with infants * Either too much of automation or no automation at all

Pros

Modern building in Nice Perfect job if you have no expectations at all for your professional career.

Cons

To work for Amadeus it is the best way to get your career stucked. There is no evolution at all. The job and tasks you do in a daily basis are really repetitive and boring, not being a challenge at all. Anyone could do this job after a few days. Everything is based on procedures, procedures and more procedures that do not let space to the creativity, being impossible ot add value. The technologies that are used exist only in Amadeus, so it is difficult to show this experience to other companies when you try to look for a new position. No expectations when you try to get hired by Amadeus, if you are contractor. The three months period you have once you demission, makes really difficult to look for another job. People really demotivated.

Pros

+ Interesting industry in general + Solid company and a secure job + Great benefits + Good starting salary for the area (not so good compared to other cities in Europe though) + International environment & colleagues from everywhere + Relaxed approach to work What matters is that you're in the office at the right time, not the work you do + Region Beautiful nature and close to the beach and to ski stations during winter

Cons

- Red tape & heavy politics (a large company-effect) - Strong hierarchy within the company, almost no chance of getting your voice heard if you're 'on the floor' - "We don't have budget for that" is a common sentence - Lots of technical debt, quick fixes that should've been remade and maintenance issues - Lack of innovation - Low raise, regardless of your work (2% +/- 1% a year) - No career opportunities within the company unless you're French/studied at a French university This is an open secret - Not very ambitious people - A lot of jealousy and gossiping - Too big layer of mid-management consisting of people with opinions who worked within the company for a long time - Re-organisations once a year Both small and big ones
