Not a Professional Environment

Pros

It's a global fortune 500

Cons

For a staffing agency, they are not very professional. VPs were young millennials that gossiped about each other all day, slept together, and had clicks. Felt very much like high school. It was easier to say your dog was sick than to miss work because your child was sick. People were fired for no reason. Diversity was not even on their radar. Would not recommend.

Cons

I had the unfortunate opportunity to work at Adecco Group and I can say without a shadow of doubt that it was an absolute nightmare. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that this company was plagued by poor leadership and a complete lack of talent retention. Firstly, the leadership was shockingly inadequate. It's as if they had no idea how to effectively manage a team, let alone run a successful staffing company. Decisions were made haphazardly, often leaving the employees baffled and frustrated. The lack of clear communication from the top-down only exacerbated the chaos within the organization. It was evident that the leadership team was disconnected from the day-to-day operations and the concerns of the employees. But what truly set this company apart in the worst possible way was its abysmal talent retention record. It seemed like there was a revolving door of employees, each leaving as quickly as they were brought on board. It's no surprise given the toxic work environment created by the lack of proper leadership. The turnover rate was astounding, and it's not hard to understand why. The company's failure to invest in its employees' growth and well-being was painfully evident. There was no effort to provide opportunities for skill development or career advancement, leaving employees feeling stagnant and undervalued. The toxic environment fostered by the poor leadership and lack of talent retention efforts took a toll on morale. Team members were constantly on edge, fearing sudden changes and expecting the worst from the management. The absence of appreciation or recognition only fueled the growing sense of disillusionment among employees. In conclusion, my time at Adecco Group was a nightmare I wouldn't wish upon anyone. The combination of poor leadership and a complete disregard for talent retention turned what should have been a professional experience into a personal ordeal. I would strongly advise anyone considering working for this company to think twice and explore other opportunities that value their employees and provide a healthy work environment.
