Pros

Reputation of the firm is a good resume boost and the work presents excellent networking opportunities. Projects can be great hands-on learning opportunities. Training is good

Cons

Poor work-life balance if you want to make ratings necessary for bonuses, raises, and even stay at the firm, despite management's assertion to the contrary. Employee experiences vary widely depending on project and partner. Community is weak due to travel; attempts to resolve this are mostly ignored by employees. No real strategy work. Morale seems low in consultant and analyst ranks.
