Pros

Get to work with very intelligent people who also can have fun. Variety of things to work on due to huge company size. Chance to work with people from other countries on a daily basis. Great name to have on your resume. Benefits are very comprehensive and insurance premiums lower than others. Have good training offerings and they encourage people to go.

Cons

Lots of pressure to complete the project no matter what personal circumstances you may have. Career advancement depends on the economy, in good times there are opportunities, in bad, you'll be stagnant for a while. Senior leaders are competent but manage more than lead. Few people in management positions are willing to step up and give people constructive criticism. Recognition depends on who you report to, some are better than others.

Pros

1. Vast learning opportunities / environment. 2. Various resources / methodologies that aligned or even defined industry standards. 3. Clear promotion / career path

Cons

The Pros list sounds encouraging, but... they are convertible into Cons as below: 1. this means one could be jack of all trades. I have had used 5 different tools out of my 4.5 years career in ACN. I should not elaborate on the steep learning curve on new tool and I'm not sure how to market myself anymore. 2. Love the resources but... not all methodologies / standards have been followed during project implementations. 3. Clear promotion path but.... there's always exception. which means if you have good network and belonged to consulting workforce you can make manager in <6 years time. on the other hand, despite demonstrated effort and substantial experience you could be still required to wait till the partner thinks you are ready. lastly, work-life balance .. is that really possible?

Pros

best for fresh graduates ..training is good..benefits ok..unexpected bonuses based on your performance rating.. technical resources are good.. great work atmosphere in the office, great people to work with.. you never stop learning on the job technically and professionally.

Cons

required to work 9 hours per day but they pay you for only 8 hours of work..no work/life balance.. there is too many non-essential professional development trainings that are being required or else your performance rating suffers.. performance ratings very unclear... on-shore opportunities minimal and you have to be lucky to be chosen for one..salary is below market standard for higher levels
