They pay very little compared to industry standards, career advancement is slow and sometimes delayed by the personal feelings of the managers. The environment is absolutely toxic, either you suck up or you don't go anywhere and start feeling more marginalized.

- Low salary compared to other EU markets the high cost of living in Milan - Workload is un-efficiently distributed. Sometimes I used to have normal workload throughout the day but at 5:30pm an urgent request comes in from your manager and you'll have to work overtime (often until 12am/1am) for free on slides of projects you're not even working on - I've been given zero training when I joined and no one was explaining anything to me - Toxic culture that values long hours over productivity - Lack of a clear understanding of my responsibilities and the projects I was working on as an analyst - Long and indefinite project durations without clear start and end dates (I've been staffed on only 2 projects in a year and a half I've been working there)
