Pros

- Higher base pay than most of the market. I suppose this is needed to attract talent as staff turnover is quite high. However, bonus pay and overall pay much lower than the market so need to pick your preference

Cons

- Long hours as typically understaffed in key areas so have to do most tasks yourself (even outside your area e.g Legal drafting) - Extremely hierarchical until they need to blame you for something - Noticeable brain drain - even clients comment about this a lot. - Most people want to leave but cant - Culture very toxic and lack of movement at higher levels of management means that you can get stuck from a career perspective - Star performers not rewarded in line with their performance. Have arbitrary ways of determining compensation - Witch-hunt culture. Have seen many bright employees ostracised and chased out to protect non value adding poor performers
