Pros

Restaurant tickets Not really a lot. They promise you more advantages they actually offer.

Cons

They hire you without having any mission for you. Then you spend weeks talking to different business managers, trying to find a mission for yourself (what your manager is doing is unknown). They say they help you to find a home in Toulouse, and that they will pay for this service (they subcontract it to another company to avoid called Seed & Moove). Actually, Seed & Moove will do formalities in your name for APL and they will receive the money the French government sends you to help you pay your rent (they were surprised I discovered this). And if Alten has problems, they do fire people in the trial period (they give an impossible mission in a very short period of time and then they say you did not achieve "their standards" of quality).

Pros

The company seems interested in grooming its employees. They offer a variety of courses related to technology and language training. They offered a full time contract from the get go. The salary is average for an entry level engineer, around 1250 per month. You get 2 extra monthly installment per year, one in june and one in december. Management has been present for now, especially in the first month. Bear in mind, I worked from home since I started, so communication is even more crucial than normal. The daily working hours are not fixed, so you get some freedom in your time management. The number of days off is as defined by the CCNL, so 2 days per month plus the festivities.

Cons

As stated above, the salary is average for an italian entry level position, which means low compared with many other (better run) countries. Alten is not really at fault for it, but it must be said to inform potential candidates, especially if they come from abroad and have different expectations.
