      1. Nice benefits 2. Great opportunities (especially international) if you are willing to do the work 3. Nice people

      A limitation is that most opportunities tend to be assigned per who you know basis instead of what you know

      Pros

      Name recognition is strong with ABB. ABB is a strong competitor with MV Switchgear and transformers. there are good people working at ABB.

      Cons

      senior leadership is "product" minded, not project minded. It's not that they don't understand, they are smart, but they seem set in their ways. With EPC customers especially the expectations are far igher than what ABB's Sr leadership is willing to concede. Engineering and administrative support are (were) completely overwhelmed with no relief in sight.

      Pros

      Great team spirit and family atmosphere. Everybody was very open to help each other, even under enormeous workload. Good perspective to develop your own career. Had a great manager who was more like a mentor to me.

      Cons

      Too much middle level management who seem to be sitting on their kingdoms after each promotion they get. The company structure is very complex to understand, however this never had any direct impact on my actual job.
