Why do you want to be a Peace Corps volunteer? Why did you select (said country)? What is a challenge you had at work and how did you solve it? Describe a time when you felt uncomfortable in a different setting and how you dealt with that.
Give an example of a time that you had to manage a cross-cultural conflict.
The hardest part is the medical examination because many small problems in the states can disqualify you since many locations lack access to good medical facilities.
Tell about a challenging situation and what you did to overcome it.
Tell me about a time when you had trouble following a rule.
In the interview, they want to make sure you're cut out for living (and succeeding) in a new culture and communicating in a different language for two years. Have specific examples prepared to prove you have what it takes.
How would you feel about living and working in a culture where men and women are not treated as equals?
They wanted to know what I would do in my idle time. Exercise isn't necessarily the best answer because in many countries (particularly if you are a woman) that option may not be available to you - ie running in public could be taboo. Its worth really considering this question and reflecting upon what you turn to as a coping mechanism
