How did you get into the field of teaching?
I was asked to "describe a lesson you might teach"... without knowing what textbook the students use in the class or what material they are typically covering in that class I had to come up with something impressive-sounding on the spot.

The most unexpected question I received was regarding diversity in the classroom. I did not prepare to answer this question and had to offer my response on the fly because I have always taught for highly diverse colleges and had never thought about speaking to teaching differently in a diverse environment since it is all I know.
