Non-memorable. Was just fuming and if not for being professional, I would had left the interview mid-session. At a particular point of time, I even had to speak up and ask to be allowed to complete my response and not be interrupted.
I was asked typical interview questions that required I pull in examples of my experience within the insurance companies I worked for over the past 20+ years. Questions were related to leadership, Systems, working with TPAs and other vendors, etc. in retrospect, I don’t believe the interview team was asking the right questions for whatever they were looking for to fill this role.
They asked who I dealt with when selling into an enterprise account.
How will you balance work/life issue. Very tricky question to answer.
Q: What was one thing they asked you?
Here are a few gems that I doubt were on the official questions list: 1. I know religious people go on missions trips. Are you going to be gone for months on end for a religious trip? 2. I knew a religious person once that was offended by something she heard. Are you going to be offended by things you hear if we hire you? 3. Our community is diverse, how do you see yourself given your background? 4. A series of odd and unclear comparisons with other religious people of varying backgrounds that assumed we were the same. I was not sure what they were trying to ask. 5. You do a lot of volunteer work, will you be able to work full time? 6. In the very last question, I was asked in the final interview, they asked me for protected medical information and appeared short when I voiced some ethical concerns related to a potential religious accommodation.
