They asked about my risk-related experience, but then mentioned that the Hiring Manager was not actually looking for someone with substantial risk expertise and was instead willing to teach the risk environment to the right candidate. It was a surprising contradiction given the seniority and scope of the role, which only added to the overall sense that Stripe was unclear about what it really needed in this position.
I was asked a lot of really good questions in all three interviews. A few of them involved how I manage and motivate people and how I've managed account executives when they are underperforming. One of the best questions asked is how I have coached my teams in the past to ensure they are aware of the client's marketing goals to ensure they're presenting the variety of products/services that best position the company's solutions with the client's needs.
