Background and Experience are paramount. As are poise, ability to articulate and demonstrate ability to think on your feet and handle questions regarding the industry, the particular marketplace (geographic), that you would be working in. This is more of a conversational process once you get past the Talent Acquisition people and it more about being fluent and fluid with regard to your understanding of the business and the environment and the competition.
