Every question was unexpected - the vast majority could have been answered through even the most cursory glance at my CV. For example, I was asked how I would handle writing copy for in-store catalogues given that I 'had no experience outside digital'. I pointed out that I actually had five years of experience with a mail order company, for whom I wrote at least two 70-page catalogues per year, one of which won an industry award.
