Types of analyses I've conducted in the past
1. Presentation (covered several topics I worked before) 2. several coding questions (I used Python, you can use other languages), basic map-reduce algorithm 3. data munging question which you can you use bash/awk/python+regular expression 4. Some SQL questions 5. different classification methods
Mostly gave scenarios and asked me what would I do in this specific situation. 1) If a student behaved badly with you what would you do? 2) If a student spoke inappropriately with you what would you do? 3) Do you have any experience working with students?
Tell me about yourself. What do you know about being a patent attorney?
A specific question from the faculty members' recent study. i.e., To find novel antitumor agents utilizing toxic metabolite generated in endogenous metabolism, which protein (enzyme, transporter, etc.) would be most appropriate? Transporter (I have already read the publications of each faculty members which published in past three years and I was able to know the purpose of this question)
