Country Representative Interview Questions
1,110 country representative interview questions shared by candidates
No crazy questions, the one that was most challenging was "Sell me a shoe, a city or a pen in under 2 minutes" (they time you!). They ask what you know about the company, what qualities you think are needed for the position (so make sure you reread the job description a couple times before the interview!), and experiences you've had that make you a good candidate. Be ready to answer questions about what would make you a good fit for the company, what makes you a successful sales person, your views on travel, and your past travel experiences. It seems like having a lot of knowledge of or experience in one of the regions they're looking for would give you an edge over other candidates, but that's not really something you can do much short-term prep for.
Give me a time you had to be organised. What did you do
Tell me about an experience you have had travelling.
Video-interview: - tell us about one of your most memorable experiences during your travels? -what do you feel you could bring to the team? -what factors do you think are important within a Sales role? Face-to-face: -talk about a time you had to motivate yourself in the workplace? -what kind of management style would you say you work best with? -why did you apply for the role and why specifically for Audley?
If a customer says that they’ve found a cheaper quote elsewhere, how will you ensure that they book with Audley?
If applying for sales positions, expect questions about handling objections and building booking urgency.
How I would manage in a targeted environment
Telephone Interview - General question about your past sales experience, when you have had to hit targets and how you have motivated yourself. Why Audley Travel? Questions about all of your travel experience in the relevant region. A short sales pitch to the interviewer of a pineapple, a pair of shoes or a destination. Face to face Interview - Relatively basic question about how you would handle various situations common in the role, how you have handled various situations in the past, Why Audley Travel again? Short role play where you answer the call of a potential customer who wants to go on Honeymoon in the region you have applied to specialise in. THIS PUTS YOU ON THE SPOT. If I had to do it again I would have some key things that I should do in a sales call prepared in my head.
They asked about my travel experience. It can't just simply be a vacation. They're looking for people who have spent quality time in other countries.
