random rubbish, various times unrelated to my role
Why do you want this job and what are your qualifications for this job?
the reason about resignation from previous job.
The basic ones. I think the only author they know of is Chetan Bhagat. They keep asking if you have read his books. And by the grammar skills I see here, I guess they re-read his works a few times over. I hope they could at least decipher what he was trying to say. When I mentioned the book I like, the look on their face was priceless! it was like I started blabbering in Latin or something. That's how low their standard is. And the worst pat is they are just not able to clean of the filth. Or even trying to do so.
Why would you like to join Turing?
There were 5 official rounds and some unofficial ones. First round (casual interview): The usual stuff. Why did you leave your last job? What was your last compensation and how much are you expecting? If your last manager had to rate you on a scale of 10 what would he/she rate you and why? If you had to rate your last manager on a scale of 10, how much would you rate him/her and why? Second round (structural thinking): Had to solve three puzzles. I was allowed to think out loud and the interviewer helped me out whenever I hit a wall. Third round: Tasks related to the role. Write 1 blog post on a given topic and 1 PowerPoint presentation on the same for the sales team. Fourth round: Discussion about the blog post, ways to improve the post, and also a bit about my background. Fifth round: The HR person (a different one) asked me to tell him 3 accomplishments and 3 failures for each stage of my academic and professional life starting from high school (!). So, that's high school, undergrad, my first job, my second job, career switch, master's degree, and my most recent job. Phew! To say I was a bit exhausted would be an understatement of the highest order. I was asked no other questions!
