If you have a sorted set of numbers, write a function that returns the position(s) of an input number How would you develop a face recognition algorithm to recognize faces that are at a resolution less than 30x30 pixels? How would you develop a face recognition algorithm to mitigate pose and illumination variances? What are the advantages of a Support Vector Machine classifier? What is a kernel function in a Support Vector Machine? What is the difference between backpropagation and gradient descent?

If you have a sorted set of numbers, write a function that returns the position(s) of an input number How would you develop a face recognition algorithm to recognize faces that are at a resolution less than 30x30 pixels? How would you develop a face recognition algorithm to mitigate pose and illumination variances? What are the advantages of a Support Vector Machine classifier? What is a kernel function in a Support Vector Machine? What is the difference between backpropagation and gradient descent?

I was asked to implement a data structure in C++ and solve 4 other small problems within 30 minutes. Afterwards, they rated the quality of my code and validity of the way I decided to implement the tasks I was given. I wasn't able to complete 2 of the tasks within the time limit, but after the time was up, I correctly answered how I'd solve them. They also asked me an open question about how would I approach a pattern recognition problem using conventional computer vision techniques and leaded me through the possible options and we discussed why one approach would be better than another.
