Previous research experience and collaboration
They drew out a process flow diagram for a spray dryer and asked me to talk about how the temperature, pressure and flowrate of all of the streams would effect the outlet temperature. Then they asked me to write out an energy balance on the system. This was a really long and involved question. I also had to answer questions about the drying process and Fick's law.
There was a question about fluid flow and an accelerating plate. I had to draw the velocity profile for different situations. They asked about shear stress.

They asked for examples about experiences, challenges, leadership, work ethics and lessons learned from mistakes.

When was the last time you had to convince your supervisor that he/she did not necessarily believe in and what did you do to try to persuade them?
What are the controls, hazards associated with using tert-butyl lithium?
This was a traditional interview. The interviewers were friendly and easy to talk to. They mostly asked questions about previous work experience and classes.
