There were a lot of typical behavioral questions, such as "Tell me about the most innovative idea you've ever had and successfully worked through."
Why are you interested in this role?
What made you decide to interview for a position in this industry?
questions were easy and very standard as if right from college book on what ideal candidate would be. Made me wonder if any people would really chose the obviously incorrect answer in the screening process - I at least chose the ones that would make me look like a great employee willing to work non - stop to get the job done.
They were the usual - "tell me about yourself", and "why do you want to work here", etc.
In the final round, one of the team members asked me how comfortable I am using HubSpot and all of its features?
Part 1: Product Messaging Before we can go forward with launch, we need to determine the best way to tell our current customers and potential customers about the product and its features. What are the inputs and data points you’d look for in order to develop the messaging for this new product? Example answers: Current messaging structures Advertising copy Customer interviews Competitive research Number of customers activated Please write a sample email to our current customer base outlining the launch of our new product. It is fair to assume that the new product will be a contracts solution that all current customers will be eligible for in the coming weeks. Feel free to take some liberties with the features and benefits of the contracts product. What I’m looking for: Description of the product Who is eligible Why it is important for their business When it will be available Part 2: Channel Distribution Assuming we now have our new product messaging locked in, what are some of the ways or channels you would let current customers know about the product? Example answers: Email Push Notifications Text Messages CS phone calls (this would be a +1 answer) etc How about potential customers and leads? What are the channels you’d look to distribute messaging around the new product through in order to reach our potential customers? Example answers: Really looking for Sales here Search Facebook Display Webinars etc Can you please write a potential search marketing ad for the new contracts product. Assume this would run just as a paid Google Search ad might run. Example answers: Looking for them to be concise and get the point across quickly, it’s less about the search ad, and more so the ability to convey value. Part 3: Process Now that we’ve aligned on our messaging and distribution, how would you determine if the messages and distribution channels are effectively getting our message across and resonating with our customers? Example answers: Listening to sales/cs calls would be a big win Structured A/B testing CTRs on ads Lead Gen Surveying customers Etc BONUS: What else would you add to this process or what other questions would you expect us to ask about launching a new product or feature?
