I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Xylem in May 2021
Interview
Multiple rounds of interviews were conducted . There was a telephone screening first and then four rounds of interviews. I was told there would be another three rounds of interviews but then was told that they went with an internal candidate. The amount of time wasted in their process is completely unethical. This is a clear demonstration of a lack of value for the prospective employee’s time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked if I was ok working overtime (an obvious red flag).
Even though it was over the phone it was a very smooth interview process with good questions asked by the interviewer. It sounded like he really cared about his company and he was in management which was a plus. It lasted 30 minutes but I also had the opportunity to ask questions.
The process was thorough so it allowed for multiple opportunities to ask and receive questions. There was also different tiers of the interview in terms of management levels so different perspectives helped see long term and short term goals.
