Interview process is long and cumbersome and at times stretches to 5 to 7 levels as well. At times the interviewers don't know what to ask and lack the subject matter expertise. HR involvement at times is just a tick mark. Candidates are made to wait for real long time in most cases

internal interviews are a joke- you don't get invited unless you are part of the succession plan. They tend to be competency based as well as looking at your future potential. you typically have 4-5 interviews, everyone kind of asking the same questions. Peers are asked to have an informal chat and "sell" the job.
