I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Uber (Chicago, IL) in Sep 2021
Interview
Pretty straightforward - was fully remote due to COVID-19 - had an intro phone interview with the recruiter, then interviewed with the hiring manager, and was then asked to submit a creative work exercise (10 slides with very specific instructions) - in two business days.
I did so in 1.5 business days, while working full-time - then was told I would get feedback on my slide deck after 48 hours. That did not happen. I followed up twice - was told initially that I would be given feedback after all candidates had submitted their work proposals a few days after the 48 hour period.
After another week - I asked again and was told that I would not be moving forward in the process.
I thanked my recruiter, wished the team luck moving forward, and asked for time to get any feedback my interviewers had for me.
We had a 30 minute call scheduled the same week. He explained that the hiring manager felt my slide deck was "associate" level work but had not provided any specifics for rating it as such. When I explained that I had a slide restriction per the exercise guidelines (10 slides) and (that as most folks who do slide decks/presentations know, you don't want to put ALL your content on each slide, it should supplement what you talk about in the actual presentation) that informed my decision to keep the presentation simple rather than overly complicated/wordy. Accessibility also played a part in my decision to keep it this way - so I was definitely surprised hearing it was "associate" work and no feedback was given. I definitely feel that had I been given the opportunity to present my work, they would've seen the full context/insight of a Program Manager (my current title).
Overall, had a neutral experience given the delay in getting feedback + me having to explicitly ask for it - wish that I had gotten more concrete feedback on what about the creative exercise I was given a tight turnaround on was "associate" level given the time constraint + doing in conjunction with my full-time job.

Question 1
Tell us about a time you had to manage a difficult customer/client.
Thorough, 3+ months and several loops, a take home case that you present in front of a panel and Q&A. Lots of behavioral questions and detailed in the trees questions from the hiring team

Question 1
What type of metrics did you use to understand retention and growth with your experiment?
I've reached only first round of interview with hiring manager. She was friendly and explained me the stages. But I felt that I am not going to the next round of interviews.
