I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Thoughtworks (Poona) in Nov 2021
Interview
Round 1 was an introductory round and generic questions regarding past experience were asked. The interviewee also provided brief context for the position and the role.
Round 2 was a case study round where a case study was provided over an email and a presentation was expected from candidates. There was no clear expectations around the ask and expectations.
With current job responsibilities, I submitted an extensive presentation a week later but the experience was very bad. The panel did not have the submission with them. They were not aware of how many rounds have already happened.
Apparently it was just a formality as it was not clear what they wanted.
They say that want to know your thought process but will not ask any deep dive questions or provide any additional context or workable feedback.
Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with us, and I’m sorry it wasn’t a more positive one for you. We’re a consensus-driven culture in a lot of matters, especially hiring, and it can lead to lengthier processes. We've been rolling out some pretty significant changes to our interview process and we're tracking closely to make sure candidates have a better experience.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Thoughtworks (Singapore) in May 2026
Interview
The recruiter contacted me via LinkedIn to ask whether interested in the above role. So, I decided to give it a try.
The interviewers were professional and the interviews went well.
It consists of multiple rounds including- 1. Recruiter screen 2. Code pairing interview 3. Technical interview 4. Cultural fit and leadership interview.
After I been through final round interview I was rejected although they claimed I did well in final round.
The feedback given was because the company felt my experiences did not align with their current project needs.
What was disappointing is that this should have been identified during the initial screening stage, as my background was clearly stated in my resume and also during the recruiter screening.
Progressing a candidate through multiple interview rounds, including the final interview, only to reject them for an apparent experience mismatch feels like a waste of the candidate’s time.
The recruitment process was also poorly handled. I only received the update for each interview session after I followed up for a status update, rather than being proactively informed.
Overall, I would not recommend the interview process due to the inefficient screening and communication.
Do not waste your time as I feel they are using candidates to collect certain data or doing market surveys through these processes.
