I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Thoughtworks
Interview
First, I was given 3 coding questions to choose from. I did one of them and submitted on time. Was at later part contacted to go for a logic(Flowchart) test, aptitude test and one round of technical interview. The staffs were friendly and the entire process went on smoothly.
Nonetheless, I have to agree that the tests are nerve wrecking....it is still ongoing
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The flowcharts are difficult to deal with....maybe i didn't have the required mental power for test.
Sent off my CV and a cover letter, and a phone interview was then arranged for the next week. During the interview I was asked about why I wanted to work for ThoughtWorks, what I did to keep myself up-to-date with technology, and how important I thought it was for companies to do work that had a social impact.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I found it difficult to expand on why it was important for companies to do work that has a social impact. As other reviewers have mentioned, I think they're looking for people who are genuinely passionate about solving inequalities and helping people. I found it hard to talk about without sounding cliched and insincere, so perhaps I'm not who they're looking for.
I applied through other source. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Thoughtworks (Londra, Inghilterra)
Interview
The process took all-in-all around 5 months from initial contact to final acceptance. I was asked to travel to the London office upon completion of a coding task, where I undertook a series of activities; consisting of a 10min presentation (subject of interest), front-end dev interview, wonderlic test, logic test and a social and economic justice interview. All the people I came into contact with were extremely friendly and supportive, and quite obviously knew their stuff. After passing this stage, I was invited to do yet another coding task - this time back end. Upon review of the application, I was invited to Manchester where I completed a back-end developer interview. Once approved, the final stage was an interview with a manager before an offer was extended.
If looking to apply, be passionate about changing people's lives through the use of technology. If you don't - they will catch you out. It's not the easiest process to go through, but certainly an enjoyable experience. Be yourself.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions around Social and Economic justice will test your morale's and feelings toward certain issues. Be prepared for that. They are looking for thinkers and people who obviously support the company mission. Don't treat this as an interview per-say. Treat it as if you was having a conversation with a friend.
