The interview process at Tesco is generally clear, structured, and focused on understanding both a candidate’s skills and their fit with Tesco’s values. It usually begins with an online application followed by a short online assessment that may include situational judgement questions or basic skills tests. Successful candidates are then invited to an interview, which can be either in person or over video.
I applied online. I interviewed at Tesco (Telford, England) in Jun 2026
Interview
I invited to in person interview, after right to work checking. My interview was about 10 mins with store manager and they asked lots of question very fast with strong accent I couldn't understand.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The manager asked me about my hobbies, my studied education and also about my team working ability.
I applied online, completed a short assessment, and attended an interview focused on customer service, teamwork, and availability. Afterwards, I completed right-to-work checks, induction training, and sometimes a trial shift.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Tesco (Newcastle upon Tyne, Inghilterra) in Feb 2026
Interview
Normal process, nothing particularly different. It was a standard process that I find very easy. Interviewed with one person and then offered a role therafter. I didn't accept the role but nothing to do with the process
