I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Target (Copiague, NY) in Aug 2014
Interview
2 interviews back to back. In the first interview, they will ask a general question to see how you measure up. If they like your responses you will have a second and final interview where you will be asked how you handle certain situations.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
have you ever had a disagreement or confrontation with someone and how did you handle it.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Target (Pacoima, CA) in Jun 2018
Interview
Was taken to the backroom where there were a good amount of employees and other job candidates waiting for interviews. The process was quick and easy, the sales lead interviewing me was also very nice and engaged in small talk.
I applied online. I interviewed at Target (South Plainfield, NJ) in Mar 2018
Interview
Was interviewed by Human Resources, then 2 Management personnel. They were pleasant and professional. I felt like I was being asked to become part of a family, more than just a job. I was asked typical employment questions about past jobs, but also given some personality profile questions. I was a little uncomfortable with that process, as the answers were multiple choice, and sometimes what I felt to be the correct answer didn't fit perfectly into the answer schemata. All in all, it was an in-depth, fluid process and I was offered a job, which I enjoy (though it's hard work, but that's to be expected).
