I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Standard Bank Group (Johannesburg) in Mar 2015
Interview
It was technical but not on what there current issues are, the interview was too much on what I had done as a business analyst instead of the SQL Administration/development side, my C# development wasn't discussed and this would have given them a SQL DBA & Developer in one, usually these are separate positions.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Standard Bank Group (Cape Town) in May 2015
Interview
I had to submit my CV, transcripts and motivation online for the internship. After that I was invited to complete a psychometric test online. A few days after they sent me an e-mail saying that I had been selected for a face-to-face interview.
The interview entailed a panel of two people each. I was to be interviewed 3 times. The interviews were happening across the CIB's 3 business units and I was to get a feel for them by being interviewed across the different products they offer. They asked me personality, behavioural and fit type questions. I was also asked about teamwork and my ability to work in a team.
All in all the staff were very helpful and friendly - I found this refreshing and it helped me settle in quite nicely as I was a bit nervous.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Standard Bank Group (Londra, Inghilterra) in Nov 2011
Interview
2 interviews with 2 managers at a time. In person at the office. The interview process was quite informal and everyone was happy to answer questions that you may have.
