Question 1
What experience do you have with Google Analytics and Ad Words?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Slack (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2015
Interview
I applied to Slack via their website. A few days later, I received an email from a recruiter to set up a phone interview with the hiring manager...we never spoke on the phone. About a week later, I had the call with the hiring manager. One of his first questions was if I had already had a phone call with the recruiter...and I got the sense that he was disappointed that I did not speak to her first. The rest of the call was far from an engaging experience...he asked questions, I answered & he moved on to the next topic. No conversation, zero pleasantries. It was like a technical interview right off the bat. I guess they assumed there was no need to sell me on working at Slack. It was about a 15 minute call. I would say it wasn't a complete waste of time as now I know that the company isn't a good fit for me. A shame since I'm a big fan of their product.

Question 1
What would your event marketing strategy be based on what you know about Slack?
After applying, recruiter emailed me and asked for availability for a phone interview. Gave her plenty of days and times but she never responded back. After follow up emails from me, she already set a time for our interview that wasn't one of the free availabilities I gave her. Bad sign already.
During the phone call she asked me a total of two questions and then she was done, gave me 15 minutes of her time. When I was talking and answering her questions she didn't seem like she was listening, never chimed in at all or even gave acknowledgment that she was listening. Very cold, robotic. The next day I got a template email that said I didn't move on. Emailed back for feedback and was told I wouldn't get any.
She obviously didn't care about candidate experience because I had a terrible one.
