I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Slack (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2016
Interview
Applied online and it took a month for them to get back to me. The interview that I had was with a guy that sounded arrogant and lacked personality. It was really hard to talk to him and sound excited about the opportunity.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Slack (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2016
Interview
I had initial HR call and asked to finish coding challenge in a week. I spent good amount of time doing that and completed challenge in 3 days. after 1 day of submission, I heard that they can not move forward with my candidacy. I am quite sure that Manager haven’t looked or run my code. I am not sure if this is real position or they are just advertising for some other legal reasons. Such a waste of time
I applied online. I interviewed at Slack (South San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2016
Interview
1. Applied on company website
2. Not get any call for weeks
3. An email came in to do QA test plan / test suite / test cases exercise (how to test download xls file)
4. Spoke to recruiter after submitted 'homework'
5. Got call from the recruiter said position filled but another team may have opening then schedule time to speak with hiring manager
6. Never got a confirmation email for the phone screening with hiring manager
7. Missed call from hiring manager since there is no email confirmation
Concerns: It seems they are using the interview process to ask people writing code or test cases for them. Checked glassdoor, found out others were asked to do code as well.
