Interview questions [1]
Question 1
During the technical round, they asked me to design a scalable system for handling real-time notifications for millions of users. They wanted me to explain how I would handle the architecture, database design, message queuing, and ensure the system could scale horizontally while maintaining low latency.
I applied online. I interviewed at Salesforce (Bengaluru)
Interview
It was a drive, after tech screening they invited hundreds of people without prior intimation, wasted the whole day with bogus questions by the lead engineer who got some ego looking into my profile.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Salesforce (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2025
Interview
I interviewed for a Mid/Senior/Lead/Staff position. I was pleasantly surprised by the entire process. I had a take home assessment and 4 rounds of interviews: an initial screening, a behavioral, a 2-part online technical, and a 2-part in-person technical. Each technical round consisted of an hour of medium-level leetcode/front-end assessment and an hour of system design. Overall, I felt the technicals were more interactive rather than an assessment. It helped that all the proctors were very kind. When I arrived at the in office interview, I was greeted with beverages and words of encouragement to ease my nerves.
