I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at PwC (Dublino, Dublino) in Jan 2019
Interview
The position was for that of a Senior Manager in their Technology Practice and I was contacted by a Recruitment consultant for this role.
The first interview was video call with a Director and a Senior Member of their Talent Acquisition Team. The interview was to assess my People Management and Leadership skills. The questions were standard and the interviewers were great. I got a feedback a couple of days later that the interview went great and the team was very impressed.
The second round was a case study and a panel interview with the practice head and a another Director.
The case study was extremely simple (compared to what I encountered in my MBA) and was more to test my thinking pattern towards problem solving.
I was given about a hour to study the case and make a 4 slide presentation and once I finished that I waited for the panel to arrive.
I had my first little shock when the second interviewer was not the person I was expected to meet but a newly hired Director.
Most of my conversations were with the Partner but it seemed apparent to me that the other interviewer(the new director) was getting a little uncomfortable with his apparent lack of consulting experience or subject matter expertise when compared to me. The feeling of insecurity seemed too obvious and with the fact that I would have to report to him told me in no less than uncertain terms that I wasn't going to get the job.
My advise to the PWC team is that - if you want to grow your technology consulting practice, have the courage to employ deserving people by virtue of their knowledge and personality.
And please be honest with your feedback. The feedback I received was that I lacked adequate team management and consulting experience which was ironical- considering the fact that I would not have made it to the second round without the former and couldn't have run my own consulting Business without the latter.
The process took 2 months. I interviewed at PwC in Oct 2018
Interview
Interviewed for a senior position with PWC.
The interview process was far stretched and took almost two months to reach the end.
Was referred by a job consultant and the interview process began with a mutual understanding that the open position is
a permanent one & on rolls with PWC. Soft copies of the experience letters, consent for bgv and education certificates were
collected after the second round of interview itself.
After all the interviews at various levels finally after 7 weeks the HR called and said to my surprise that they could only
offer me a FTC role (Full time contractor) and FTE (Full time employment) is not possible.
Upon rejecting the FTC oral offer, the hr arranged a call with the director who elaborated on the FTC concept again and said
that it would be a one year contract. Also explained that due to budget, headcount and other vague reasons which were beyond
understanding they were not in a position to release a permanent offer.
Its really annoying to hear all these after waiting for almost two months..particularly when interviewed for a permanent postion
and offered a contract role. Its a sheer waste of time for the candidate.
HR guys just do the post man job and are clueless about the status of the candidatures' interview.
Share the documents only after the release of the offer and ensure in the first round of interview itself whether the
interview conducted is for a permanent / contractual one.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at PwC (Johns Creek, GA) in Dec 2018
Interview
Applied online and got an email from the recruiter one week later for a quick call. Spoke to the recruiter who asked basic questions like salary requirements, ability to travel etc.. 3 days later I got a mail for an interview schedule with a director. The interview was set for a week later. After my interview with the director I had to wait 2 whole weeks for the next interview which was a Manager and Director. Post this interview I waited two more weeks and HR let me know they had gone for an internal candidate.
