I applied online. I interviewed at Primark (Merry Hill, England) in Aug 2021
Interview
Applied online, 1st I was not successful so I applied again.
Had todo the online multiple choice questions, after 3 months I had an email to attend an interview.
Do not bother going this was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I have ever been in!
Interview was interrupted multiple times by the door slamming behind of me which threw me off because I was already nervous.
20mimutes of selling myself which I just thought was a complete waste of time. Should have ever bothered going. Forgot to mention the manager actually sat there and I saw him watching the clock more than once through my interview which after that I couldn’t wait to get out, such an unfair interview. Was not once in that interview I felt like I could really sell myself. Glad I never got that job, because If they can be that unfair to you during an interview, what would they be like once you’re unemployed. I’ll never waste my time with them again! Interview questions were relatively easy, only difficult because of all the noise going on in the room.
There’s an exam first at home then an in person interview, it’s one manager interviewing you and it’s quite short, they don’t ask too many questions just know your CV and being able to work flexible hours helps
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked about previous experience, and how to handle certain situations with customers, also about flexibility
Questions you would expect in majority retail roles. Questions about shop floor interactions. Customer interactions etc. There's only a few questions. Interview focuses the most on your soft skills and your approach to the retail environment.
