Microsoft Sr Software Engineer interview questions

Question related to LinkedLists, Online Algorithms, Arrays e.t.c They took all day from 11 AM to 7 PM.... Conducted only 3 rounds....I had positive feedback for 3 rounds....At 7 PM HR came and said they would revert in a week for details on further process. 2 weeks passed, but no update from HR. When I followed up, HR said that the team is currently not hiring. I don't know, why would they conduct interview in such a case. Or at least the HR, should have had the courtesy of reverting about the same. I would advise to not to go for hiring drives. If you are going and all rounds do not get completed on the same day, then do not think that further rounds are going to happen. In hiring drives HR's intention is to just get as many people for the interview.

I was asked numerous programming problems, such as how to mock up a program to play the game Battleship.
