I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Microsoft (Dallas, TX) in Jul 2024
Interview
Reached out by recruiter, after applying through carrer page. First call was with team, no introduction straight to the coding question. Gave very little details have to ask questions to get clarity. solved the question, asked a follow up could solve that as well. Got rejection after two weeks and ghosted by the recruiter.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Microsoft (Barcellona) in Apr 2024
Interview
First step was online coding exercise whic was really two hard questions, leetcode hard level or maybe more. After passing that, there was a silence for a month and the recruiter disappeared. After that, another recruiter contacted me and asked me if i could have 4 interviews in a row on a fixed date, not earlier, not later. I had to accept it and I had 4 intervies that last for 6 hours.
First one was easy to medium coding interview which you had to ask a lot of questions to determine the problem briefly, and find the edge cases. The interviewer was friendly and helping you to solve the problem.
Second interview was about database design and querying related questions which was easy in my opinion
Third one was system design and it was about commenting on an existing design, the interviewer was asking about the problems and possible solutions about the system, how we can make it better.
The fourth one was about cultural fit, I kinda feel that the interviewer was bored and again cliche questions related to work life.
And after all the interviews I had a very positive opinions from the interviewers, I thought finally I will be able to get the job, but unfortunately I didn't have any feedback from the recruiter, they haven't answered me with anything even though i sent them several mails about the result.
I will not waste my time again interviewing with Microsoft.
