Interview
It started with sreening interview and then for one full day interview at Hyderabad with 5 different people. each person focused on different aspects. one on algorithms, one on security, one on networking, one on general computing science understanding. Questions includes many puzzles, some algorithmic problem, how buffer overflow works etc
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Microsoft (Barcellona) in May 2026
Interview
Panel-style loop: recruiter screen, hiring manager conversation, then rounds on technical/architectural leadership, execution at scale, people leadership, cross-functional influence, and culture values, STAR-format behavioral throughout.
The interviewers were not English native speakers so it wasn’t easy to understand them fully, completely red flag as I would work with them!
3 Algo & Data structure questions and 1 design question. The questions needed you to understand patterns more than actual coding. Eg. When to buy and sell stocks. The interviewer can advance the question to with or without cool down

Either resumes are filtered by a glitchy software or by incompetent and clueless recruiters.
I have 20 years of experience in managing engineers but 5 minutes after I applied for the job I got an email saying that I didn’t have enough experience. What a joke!
