I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (Redmond, WA) in Dec 2021
Interview
The recruiter asked me to schedule two slots for interviews with a research engineer and a research scientist within the hiring team. I didn’t meet the hiring manager. After the interviews, I got a call from the recruiter to discuss the offer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The first interview was about my work experience - just going over my background and the projects I’ve worked on. The second interview was a research problem. I was given a problem and asked to think of potential solutions (design of a device, and how to validate or characterize it, what study shall be conducted and so on). The interviewer was working things out with me, so it was smooth overall.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (Parigi) in Mar 2023
Interview
One codring interview and one research interview. Two questions in the coding interview. Research interview is about my research, I presented my work. The overall process moved fast, and I got the decesion about one week.
Classic process for a tech company but their criteria are the least considerate to the diversity of life events one can face. They judge one's path and performances regardless of what challenges life can bring on one's path. Says a lot about the atmosphere within the company and type of people they recruit.
