I was first contacted by a recruiter over the phone. She didn't mention that she was conducting a phone interview, but that's what it was. I was contacted about a week later for an interview with the hiring/engineering managers. I went to the Tempe location where I was met by the main engineering manager. We went into a conference room and he was joined by another two upper level engineers. The interview was a mixture between behavioral and technical. No "what would you do if..." questions, but questions like "where do you see yourself in 5 years", "why medtronic", etc. They grilled me about my past internships and work experience, wanting to know every detail of what I did. They were very friendly, but to the point and somewhat intimidating. After the interview, I was given a half-hour tour of the campus and where I would "potentially" be working. I was offered the position a few days later by one of the hiring managers.
